This workshop is open to staff and board members of nonprofit organizations.

Are you interested in learning about options for reducing your organization’s impact on climate change?  Curious about green power?

Join us for a valuable baseline education from renewable energy experts.  Receive an overview of green power and a brief history on the development of a market for clean, renewable energy.  Get an introduction to the industry and products, as well as insight into market indicators.  Topics include:

  • Important Renewable Energy Definitions and the Basics of the Electric Grid
  • Renewable Energy Certificates 101
  • Green Market Trends: Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) and Utility Green Pricing Programs
  • Options for Purchasing Renewable Energy

The Thoreau Center is not far from the Lombard Gate.  Parking is primarily in the lot behind the building but there is also limited parking in front of the building.  Enter through the front of 1014 (facing Letterman Drive).
